EHR – A Comprehensive Workshop

  • Minikahda Club 3205 Excelsior Blvd Minneapolis, MN, 55416 United States

What’s Mandated in Minnesota, and Implications for your Practice

This workshop is a comprehensive presentation of the 101, 102 and 103 workshops on e-health technology. We will begin with an overview of the 2015 Minnesota Interoperable EHR Mandate in layman’s terms. You will learn the difference between an EMR and an EHR, how to identify whether or not a product meets the guidelines set forth in the 2015 mandate, as well as points to consider prior to starting the shopping process.

Laws including HIPAA, HITECH, and the MN Health Records Act will be covered. There will be hands-on activities to help you assess your computer skills, your beliefs around E-Health Technology, your policies and procedures, and your readiness to adopt e-health and prepare to transition to EHR and the electronic health information exchange (HIE). This workshop will also help you identify people and resources to support you throughout the process, and will provide you with a workbook to help you move forward.
