Is parenthood different than what you had expected?
Feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or that you're failing as a parent?
A new baby is supposed to bring great joy, but for some parents it can also bring stress, depression, anxiety, and disappointment. It may be that the birth did not go as you planned. Or you don't have the support that you want or need to deal with the many changes happening in your life. You are not alone.
While women have always struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety, it is still something that seems to be brought up in hushed tones and with feelings of shame. Watch a video of one woman's story and her journey back to health.

If you answered yes to these statements, it is possible that you may be suffering from postpartum depression or anxiety. While it may feel overwhelming, it is very treatable and things will get better. Your baby needs you to take care of yourself first. Circle of Moms
Circle of Moms is a safe, welcoming space for women to gather together and discuss the not-so-easy parts of motherhood. If becoming a mom has been harder than you thought it would be, or you’re struggling to find your sense of self, know that other women feel the same way. Many moms wonder how much to reveal when asked, “How are you?”. This is your place to finish the sentence after you say, “fine”.
You may be experiencing more sadness or worry than you anticipated. Perhaps you’re experiencing breastfeeding troubles, a colicky baby, relationship strains, dynamics with in-laws, financial stress or lack of your inner compass. Or maybe you’re just feeling the “bigness” of new motherhood.
Circle of Moms gives you a space to share stories, build your village of other supportive moms, discuss realistic expectations, learn when to seek help, and develop strategies for self care.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins and last-minute-deciders are always welcome! Bring your baby or leave her at home – your choice.
This is a FREE event and open to all mothers.
